Healthy Dinner Alert- Sweet Stuffed Peppers

This recipe is extremely near and dear to my heart. Growing up, Nana always made recipes that included bell peppers. Green bell peppers were her go-to, but have always been my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, her food always turned out delicious, but anytime I cook, I use any other pepper except green. Green peppers seem to produce bitterness, while the red, orange, and yellow peppers produce a sweeter flavor. In all honesty, I will pick out or eat around any form of green pepper. Traditionally, my Nana has made stuffed peppers using green bell pepper and ground beef. However, this is not my Nana's traditional recipe. This version of stuffed peppers is one for even the pickiest eaters! Trust me, this is bound to be a family-requested favorite! I can't wait for you to see how filling and delicious stuffed peppers can be!
Recipe Notes
If you are a green bell pepper fan, you can certainly use them! Although green bell peppers are my least favorite, they still work wonderfully with this recipe.
You can cut the pepper in half, or just cut the tops off as I did.
You can use spicy sausage if you prefer a hotter flavor.
